Sunrise

People ask me why it is that I live in Utah. Well, there are a lot of reasons-- most of them having to do with family-- but this definitely counts for a LOT of the why I stick around this state:

Sunrise, just outside where I work (greenhouse in the foreground). Gorgeous!

God gives us such great and amazing things to look at (not to mention hear, taste, smell, feel.) We so often don't stop to admire His handiwork. Shame, that.

I wish I worked in Seattle, mostly because there are a lot of Japanese women there.

suldog, one thing I do is make sure to stop and smell the roses while I go about my daily life. I look at the mountains, and think only of how beautiful this world is. I see the sunflowers on the side of the road, and think only on how their beauty makes this world a better place. I even watch ants go about their daily business.

Life is far too short to not take time to appreciate the beauty of this wondrous world!

So would it make you jealous, grant, that I grew up in Washington State, and also lived in the Seattle area for awhile? :)

That is never an 'untouched' photo.
Looks like something from the Philip Pulman novel Northern Lights (or The Golden Compass as the rubbish film was called!)

Oh wow! That's my favorite kind of sunset.

I promise that it is an un-retouched photo, Tara! I took it this morning, and posted it less than an hour later. Really.

Jen, I love sunsets like that, too-- except this one was a sunrise. Amazing, no?

Oh, and uh, if I'd read the title of your post I would have figured that out. lol!

I live in Utah because I was born here and I have a phobia of moving. Plus, I happen to think it's a pretty great state. No, wait, I think it's Life Elevated! now isn't it? I can't wait for ski season.

My oldest son works at Hill AFB, and serves in the USAF Reserves... visiting him is one of the highlights of my year!

AirmanMom, Utah is a Pretty Great State, as they say. :)

steenky, the new state slogan still weirds me out. I feel like I need to be on drugs or something now.
