Random Tuesday Thoughts

randomtuesday

So I'm watching "How It's Made", and they're showing how they manufacture personal aircraft. Job I would not want: test pilot for aforementioned personal aircraft company. Let’s see… airplane parts get made, put together, instruments are tested, and then the final test? Take it in the air to see if it will actually fly. Um… I’ll pass, thanks.

The only good thing about snow is that it makes the mountains breathtakingly beautiful, especially during sunset. I just wish it would stay in the mountains, and not come visit me so regularly on the valley floor.

I’ve never been called to jury duty, even though I’ve been a registered voter since I was 18 years old. I wouldn’t necessarily mind it, but doubt I’d be chosen as a juror. My court experiences over the years have made me a bit more knowledgeable about law than the average juror. They don’t usually like people who are smart about the law.

I received a voice text message on my work phone. It said, “Hey girl, how’s everything going? Sorry it’s late. But I just want you to know that I was thinking of you and I love you. I might be going to jail tomorrow so just know I love you.” The return number was from a different state. I guess there’s no point in calling them… they’re gonna be in jail anyway.

The most amazing part of that plane thing? Based on the segment length, it apparently only takes 5 minutes to build it!

Ha! I love random text messages. Maybe you have a pen pal there.

Yep, I definitely wouldn't want the test pilot job, either... Hilarious misdirected text message! ;) Great Randomness! :)

God forbid that we actually allow someone with knowledge of the law to practice it.

Of all the memes in all the world, Keely scored with this one. I love reading all this stuff!

This new reader IMPLORES you to respond to that text message...better yet, have a blog contest for resposes to that text message! It's waaaaay too funny to pass up!

I worked with an engineer once who was building his own airplane. I told him he was crazy. Flying a hobby built plane must be worse than a commercial test pilot. He said it was common practice to wear a parachute on the test run.

Voice text? Like a monotone computer?

Hopefully the inmate won't hold a grudge because the person who was supposed to receive that message never got back in touch ;)

I've always been a firm believer in the fact that snow is only acceptable in pictures and TV. Personal interaction with said substance is not recommended.

I would love to be a test pilot... think of the benefits!

That is the best message ever. I hope he doesn't drop the soap...

That phone call was great! Poor person he was trying to reach will probably never know he loves her...lol

Happy Tuesday

So I'm guessing you didn't know the texter? Too bad to think that the real intended receiver will now be wondering why this person isn't returning any of their calls or texts. And is probably wondering how they're going to get their dope now!

I think I saw that episode this weekend. My husband loves shows like that. I wouldn't want to be the tester, but I wouldn't mind being the receiver of one of those planes.

My dad has always wanted to be on a jury, but he's usually not accepted. He's a pastor. I, on the other hand, dread jury duty!

Love your random ramblings! :-)
Nope, I wouldn't take that test job! As far as the text message ~ all I can say is 'weird'!!!

You HAVE to follow up on that!! And let us know what happens.

OOOO..I love that show!!!
That text is just tooo funny...poor guy...he was probably hoping for a text back.

Oh. That sucks for the person who sent that message. Not only are they going to jail, but their message was sent into the infinite texting vortex, never to be seen again.

She probably wouldn't have waited for him, anyway. Maybe it's best. ;)

They test fly home built planes out of the North Vegas airport, and average one a year crashing into houses near the airport, more making it a few miles out to the desert. Residents are trying to get those types of planes banned, but the federal government says is't an approved test port and they have to let them fly.
