Where I Went On Memorial Day

We needed some landscaping rocks (I love being able to relocate pieces of our beautiful mountains to be displayed in our yard!), so I got a permit from the BLM to go gather rocks from West Mountain near us. We spent a few hours on Memorial Day loading up the trailer and truck with views like this around us:

Beautiful day, beautiful views, beautiful weather... what more could you ask for?

A Diet Coke and a naked Christian Bale delivered to my door?

Oh, was that a rhetorical question?

Kristina's comment is absolutely hilarious. And I have to agree!

Either way, those pictures are gorgeous! What a great way to celebrate memorial day!

Have a great weekend!

Beautiful pictures. I borrow rocks from my mountain all the time. I don't ask permission but the mountain and I have an understanding. It knows where the rocks are if they are needed.

That is beautiful, I especially like the third shot.

We don't have any cool rocks in FL. Seriously, my mom brought home a few every summer when we drove to NY and now everyone admires her FL garden with "northern rocks".

I live in the city... well, if you can call 40,000 people a city. There's a lot of people in our area, and my city is just one of many that line the mountains here in Utah.

The nice part about living in Utah is that you are a half hour (or less) away from gorgeous views like this. And then you go home to suburbia when you're done. :)
