Random Tuesday Thoughts
Even though it snowed yesterday, and I had to scrape a nice layer of ice off the windshield this morning, I officially declare spring has arrived since allergies have come on full force.
My work has this weird tradition of handing out green bagels to all the employees every St. Patrick’s Day. Green bagels are not that appetizing.
Zits inside of your ears (and nose) really hurt.
So I was going to the bathroom, and happened to be in the back stall. Someone came in, and apparently thought the bathroom was empty, because she sat down on the toilet and started to pee... without closing her door. She started to giggle to herself and said, “I like to try stuff.” Then as I reached for the toilet paper, she realized she wasn’t alone. Her door slammed and locked. Then she hurriedly got up, flushed, and then walked out of the bathroom without washing her hands. This was a person in scrubs, most likely a nurse. Ewwww!!!!
I hate it when my teens text me AND WE'RE IN THE SAME ROOM. Or I run into them in the hallway in the mornings, and they say, "Did you read my text?" To which I reply, "Why don't you just TALK to me right now, while we're both standing here?!?"

LMFAO at the bathroom story! Being somewhat of a smartalec (sp?) I probably would have replied to her statement:
"Oh yeah, me too. Like that time, when I was in the bathroom at my mother-in-laws house and I checked through her medicine cabinet and switched all her things around just to mess with her head? Yeah...good times, good times."
Okay the nurse not washing her hands thing is gross!!! I hope she scubbed up elsewhere.
As for the Texting when my son does that I usually tell him why don't you tell me what the text said. I disregard any texts from him or my husband coming from inside the house. Silly boys one less way for them to have to verbally communicate. It makes me nuts. They will sit and text each other back and forth all night. Maybe it is just a technology thing.
That nurse is crazy for sure and a little disgusting.
Texting is out of control. My wife and I just cancelled ours to save ourselves fromt he madness.
Your bathroom story is hilarious! Do you mind if I repost it on one of my blogs (I'll link back to you of couse)? http://theofficebathroomedition.blogspot.com/
LOL I used to be able to hear my boss typing an IM to me instead of just speaking to me. What's with that?
Maybe she was on the phone... but not washing her hands? Gross. The majority of people I used to work with who were mostly former nurses very rarely washed their hands. Not ok!
I love the texting comment. I have a friend who will do that if we're all out to dinner together... very annoying!
Your bathroom story - hilarious in a gross sort of way... ;)
Green bagels definitely don't sound appetizing...
I wonder if the Princess Nagger will be a textaholic when she gets to the teen years?
i like to try stuff! that's hilarious!
Oh my! It snowed there!?!?!?! Will you cuss me if I told you that it's currently 75 here? Happy TT! lol
lmao. What the hell was she talking about and who was she talking to? That's awesome, I can't think of any good reason to ever leave the door open in a public restroom stall. Wacky.
Ew, green bagels sound a little gross, although add some green cream cheese and I'm there. ;)
Green bagels? I can totally picture it and the picture is not pretty.
That bathroom story is weird. Trying new things? Like, how about trying new foods? Not new bathroom etiquette!
That bathroom story is HILARIOUS. 'I like to try stuff'. There is SO much room for interpretation there....
Allergies *and* snow - that's just not fair!
One of our hospitals has lost thirteen patients to C.dificile. Fraid I would have followed her out and yelled 'unclean, unclean' after her.
green bagels are GROSS. food just should not be dyed the color of mold.
My local bagel shop has spinach bagels, not just for St. Paddy's Day. They never look appetizing. But they continue to sell them so SOMEONE must eat them.
I have a zit on the outside corner of my nose and I think it's equally as painful. It's one of those lumpy, un-poppable ones that piss me off.
Jamie and I IM each other from across the room. We're lazy and there's less risk of waking up the kids since he's got a loud mouth. ;)
Happy Tuesday!
I sense a general icky theme here....
the nurse is scaring me
I love having my own bathroom at work. And even more so after reading your post.
That texting business. It is bad 4 u.
You are such a hoot! I'd rather e in a bathroom full of women, than with just one woman. What does that say about me?
But I'd rather be in a bathroom with one woman, than be sitting in a stall and see that a man wondered in error into the women's room and stopped next door to me. That really happened, too.
You're right about those zits...owie!
I use a paper towel to open the bathroom door when I leave a public restroom. You just never know!
One of the best and only things about being in the office on St. Patrick's Day was they always serve Green Bagels!
Happy RTT! Stop on by!
See, this is why you are a parent and I'm not. I would have slapped the taste out of my kid's mouth the very first time he or she texted me in the same room. You, of course, are a better person than I :-)
I am with you about the zits - ow - and so not glamorous either. And the unclean bathroom nurse...you just have to shake your head at some people.
On Saint Patrick's Day my school gave out green rolls, sandwiches, pudding, applesause, and bread sticks. It looked nasty!!
And luckily I don't text like "u r krzy" and dumb things like that! Ew!
Creepification on that bathroom stall action!
