I love the idea of wordless wednesdays. I'm going to start it up on my blog too (mentioning of course that I have completely copied it from you :o))

Love it. I may need to start doing this myself.

How fun!

jumbly girl, I'd tell you to credit someone else that I stole the idea from, but that would be hard-- it's on a lot of blogs I visited! :)

joe, I personally love your "Week in Pictures". Your captions/descriptions are great!

I like my pic of Marvin. He stares at me every day from his slinky enclosure on my desk. Now you all can share in the experience.

Hey! You do a wordless Wednesday too! I will be round to laugh but probably won't leave a caption as I can't think of any good ones.

If you visit 5 Minutes for Mum (they host Wordless Wednesday) and leave your name and link you can vist and get visits from people all over the blogosphere. Great fun.
Here is the link to last week's. Look out for it next Wednesday.

Oh, I am so glad to see Marvin. He is a favorite of mine from years gone and for years to come. That long-suffering huffy little sigh of his when he would say, "I'm really VERY angry right now"...

I feel ya, Marv.

What would have been immortalized on my desk on Wednesday? Oddly enough, a pair of lacy underwear (from the drying rack) a half-chewed dog bone (to be tossed back in the yard) and a naked Barbie (make your best guess).** As many moms do, I gather an armload of things to be put away, then am distracted by another job that needs both hands and set down my treasures to be picked up again sometimes days later. It's made for some interesting conversations when company drops in.

** I know this because it's all still here. It's been a busy week...

O happy Saturday!

Do all Wordless Wednesday people ask for captions, like you do, dj kirkby? I love that idea.

tara, do you have to enter in your URL every week to have it listed, or does it autolist for the next week that you participate?

Oh, my, mrs. c. Where do I start? I think the imagination races more regarding lacy underwear on the desk than a naked Barbie. But then again, I'm just not that into Barbies.

I love Marvin, too! (Well, yeah... how many other people have Marvin figures on their desks?) I like this website: http://www.gargaro.com/marvinsounds.html My favorite is the "pinch" one in the bottom right section (comp.wav).

No you have to put it in yourself which is a bit of a pain but worth it! See you next Wednesday . . .

You know what is so funny, Suz? we built the Barbie house/bookshelf as a dwelling for the Barbies and their boyfriends and children, but it's full of plastic horses. The Barbies only come into the house-turned-stable to perform vet duties...

Hooray for farm life!

O happy (and RAINY!!) Wednesday.
So rainy I think the kids will need flippers, not cleats tonight.

Love this one.

mrs. c., are your kids soccer players, too? Or is this another cleat wearing sport?

Mrs. C. said...

Yup, got one soccer player now. The little man just started his first season and seems to like it. If soccer wasn't the same night and time as ballet I think we'd have a daughter playing too. At brother's first game she could barely stay on the sidelines and kept saying "I could do that, Mom!"
But she told us three years ago she wanted a part in the local Little Ballet Theatre's production of "Nutcracker" someday, and has been a hard-working ballet kid ever since.

So far the soccer games have been all against kids we don't know. Next week, he goes up against the team his best buddy Jack is on. Let the fun begin....

O happy Saturday.
